Wedding Reception Policies and Guidelines
Deposits and Payment:
We require a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the food & beverage
minimum payable with the returned contract. This deposit
will be used to confirm your reception location & will
be applied towards your final costs. Prior to your event,
we require the food portion of the bill be paid. A credit
card number is required for collateral purposes and will
not be charged if we are paid by the first Tuesday following
your event. The Grand River Center will accept Cash,
Check, Master Card, Visa & American Express.
Guarantee:
A guarantee of the number of persons attending your
event is required by noon at least five business
days prior
to the function date. This number is not subject to
reduction. If no guarantee is received, the contracted
number of
guests will be considered the guarantee.
Room Rental:
No room rental will be charged if food & beverage
minimums are achieved. Food and beverage minimums vary,
depending on room. JoAnn would be happy to detail the
room minimums for you.
Cancellation:
In the event of the cancellation, the deposits are
non-refundable. If you cancel your event within
60 days of the scheduled
start time of the function, cancellations fee is
50% of estimated charges.
Food and Beverage
Service:
The Grand River Center will adhere to all federal,
state and local laws with regard to food & beverage.
The Grand River Center will neither serve alcoholic
beverages
to anyone under the legal drinking age, nor to
any persons considered intoxicated. Therefore,
it is the Grand River
Center’s policy that no liquor, beer or
wine may be brought in from outside sources.
All
food & beverage consumed on property must
be purchased through the Grand River Center.

The Grand River
Center prohibits the removal of food from the function
by individuals with
the
group. (wedding
cake excluded)
Cake Cutting:
The customer shall be responsible for all
of the cake parts at the end of the event.
If the client would like the Grand River
Center staff to cut & serve the
cake, there will be a $50.00 charge added to the bill.
Policies:
- JoAnn, prior
to decorating the room, must approve all decorations.
Confetti, rice & glitter are prohibited.
- All decorations,
gifts, & belongings must be removed from premises
immediately after your event.
- You may decorate
& deliver any necessary materials the evening
before your event if no other event is scheduled.
Please make arrangements with JoAnn or her staff.
- We are not responsible
for lost or stolen articles.
- All menu items
must be finalized 30 business days prior to your
event.
- No beverages
are to be carried in the Grand River Center.
- No food
or beverages are to leave the premises. (Wedding
cake excluded) You will be provided the minimum
amount of tables
needed to comfortably seat your guests
(10 per table).
- You will be
given a six (6) hour time period for your wedding
reception (cocktail hour included in six hours). Each
additional hour is $250.00.

under the Skywalk that connects the two properties

left and enter the right side (Entrance) of the
Covered Parking Garage

Lots are located on the North side of the building
- Follow
Bell Street until it ends
- Turn Right on
6th Street
- There are 3
Parking Lots that continue along 6th Street until
it ends
